Today, July 9th, Indonesians Vote For Either Jokowi Or Prabowo, But ...

Indonesians are heading for the voting place today, 9th of July 2014. Jokowi and Prabowo, the President candidates and all the people concerned, are waiting for the result to decide either one of them or their desired leaders to be the leader of the country. Nearly everybody is expecting what they hope will come into being, but ... A monster suddenly comes to destroy everything ...

The monster as huge as Godzilla appears from the dark somewhere in Monas Monument, Jakarta and sings a song hard, "We will we will rock you," the controversial one sung by Ahmad Dhani to support Prabowo without permission from the song author--Queen. Ahmad Dhani, the famous pop singer here in Indonesia, doesn't get bothered at all. The monster also sings a parody of"salam tiga jari" which is supposed to be "salam dua jari" the song belonging to Jokowi's side. Indeed July 9th, 2014 becomes a traumatic situation in Indonesia.

The police who stay vigil cannot get rid of the monster as quickly as they can. It is very strong, steel-skinned and rhino-headed. It just blows them away, farts hard and laughs. Today, July 9th, Jakarta Indonesia turns to be chaotic. Jokowi and Prabowo can do nothing about it, because none are closest to the spot. It's a very dramatic moment where all people of Indonesia is required to vote for their trusted leader.

I, as a loyal citizen has to remind them of this incident. But I don't think it's a right moment to lull them to sleep with such a silly story. Today, July 9th Indonesians vote for either Jokowi or Prabowo but I am troubled by this monster to urge me to write this post. It says, "You must decide now what is the best for you to vote for your country."

I just listen and it continues: "Today, July 9th, Indonesians vote for either Jokowi or Prabowo and if you don't move your ass now and still reflect on your misery, you'll get nothing ... You must face it ...  you can get out of debt soon. You must stop crying for being dismissed by the company, it's not their fault. Business sectors are getting slower every where. And ..."

I don't want to listen more. Glad to be here on this July 9th, where all Indonesians are supposed to vote for their trusted leader. I think after writing this, I might take a bath, forget all nonsense I've written and go out there to give my vote. Bravo Indonesia! Be it Prabowo or Jokowi, one word from me: never do the same mistake again!

Jakarta Without Monkeys Or Without Corruptors?

Which you do prefer if you were Indonesian and happened to live in the capital city: Jakarta Without Monkeys Or without corruptors? Jakarta Governor Joko Widodo or Jokowi has vowed that there will be no more "topeng monyet" (masked monkey) shows in the streets of Jakarta in 2014. The campaign called 'Jakarta Bebas Topeng Monyet 2014′ (Jakarta Free of Masked Monkey Performers 2014) is aimed primarily at protecting animal welfare.

jakarta without monkey
Is there a corruptor there with the monkey eating banana?
Well, it's not a big deal if the monkeys are transferred to a one-hectare field at Ragunan Zoo
and owners will be compensated. It is a weird show if Jakarta corruptors being detained there together with the beast, forced to act like a gladiator. Is it a good idea? Not really, you absolutely go against human rights (classic). If the government will also provide skills training and alternative livelihood opportunities to monkey trainers, on the contrary, they will also keep providing more "services" for anybody stealing people money on behalf of human rights. So skip the torture context here.

Many people throughout Jakarta will be affected by the government's new regulation. But there's no new significant regulation about how to stop man from stealing people's money when it comes to bureaucracy and political interests.

With or without monkey, the city has already had "monkeys" in all walks of life--the greedy creatures which feel unsatisfied only with one banana in his hand. So which is better or the best: Jakarta without corruptors or Without monkey? Just fancy any leaders or politicians here stop campaigning, yelling: say no to corruption in the upcoming 2014 Indonesian Presidential Election, but, rather, start preparing gallows or fire squads on behalf of human rights...... Hm, weird!

Jokowi

Jokowi is a new name to rank itself on Google Search Engine. According to a Google Adword keyword survey, Jokowi was searched on the Internet during August 2012 as many as 49,500.times

Who is Jokowi? If we look a little closer to his picture he just looks like President Obama. It is only for a joke that recently Jokowi was resembled Obama and Fawzi Bowo (Jakarta's governor) was Hittler, and the video of this "Jokowi VS Fawzi Bowo" has been spread sensationally and funnily on Youtube, drives many to view.

Joko Widodo (born in Surakarta, June 21, 1961), better known by his nickname Jokowi, is the current mayor of Surakarta, Indonesia. His second term is due to end in 2015. His vice mayor is F.X. Hadi Rudyatmo. Recently he has been nominated by his party, Indonesian Democratic Party – Struggle, to run in the 2012 Jakarta gubernatorial election.

The result of the first round election to put Jokowi above Fawzi Bowo that seemingly made such a video written above. Of his humble personality, down-to-earth nature, most of Jakarta people may presume Jokowi can outdo Fawzi Bowo later at the second round of the election

However, Jokowi's road to success is not smooth anyway. Issues of religious discrimination towards Jokowi is one of the barriers which makes him even stronger and this triggers supports from a large number of people, espeically those of the underdogs.

We, Indonesians, just wait and see whether Jokowi will become "Obama of Jakarta" or "Enemy of Jakarta"
